A.I.D.S.,INC.provides emergency financial assistance to indigent persons in Greater New Bedford & Fall River who have HIV/AIDS. Adults and children. Our concerns are the daily life issues that result from AIDS. We also assist children affected by their parents HIV/AIDS status.
Description:
We do all our own fundraising and have been doing so for 16 years. We are non-profit and our Board of Directors are volunteers resulting in no paid staff. We are also a 501 (c)(3) organization incorporated in Massachusetts. Our assistance is aimed at the everyday needs of Clients such as rent, heat, children,s clothing, Holidays etc. As we are an independent organization we have the ability to customize our assistance to each individuals needs. All referrals and assistance is documented to meet the Dept. of Public Health requirements as well as those of the IRS.
History:
We began in 1989 as a grassroots organization to address the AIDS epidemic as it effected the daily lives of infected individuals in our area. We work with all local Agencies that provide HIV/AIDS services. Agencies provide us with documented referrals. We continue to have year round fund raising events to support our organization.

Yellow house approximately 1/4 mile after you pass the Ambulance Emergency Center on your right. The yellow house is on the corner of Middle Road and Norwood St. on your left.
