The Friendly Visitor Program offers opportunities for communication, encouragement, socialization and assistance to elders. Companions enable seniors to remain at home in safe environment. The services provided by companions include friendly visiting and/or respite for caregivers. Volunteers typically visit an elder for 1 hour every week.

Must have own car, a current license, a current car registration and car insurance. Volunteers receive a one hour orientation and on-going support/training. All volunteers must pass a CORI background check before being matched with an elder.
