The New Haven Museum & Historical Society is committed to increasing knowledge and inquiry and providing an understanding and appreciation of greater New Haven history. The NHMHS programs, exhibitions and collections aim to stimulate discovery and interpretation of the past among a wide-ranging community of visitors, including families, students and scholars.
Description:
The museum preserves and presents a collection of art and artifacts that tell New Haven's history. It is Connecticut's second oldest heritage organization. Volunteers are needed for membership, development, gift shop, library, outreach and education, marketing, publicity, and research.
