Hope For New Haven, Inc.
Hope for New Haven (HFNH), a 501(c) 3 organization, is a collaborative project among three New Haven churches: Christ Presbyterian Church, St. John’s Episcopal Church and Trinity Baptist Church. Hope operates various programs that are geared towards 1) expanding childcare and youth service options for families in the Greater New Haven Area; 2) increasing access to affordable mental health and wellness services; 3) establishing high quality financially viable child development centers and related business enterprises; and 4) increasing employment opportunities for New Haven residents. HFNH runs the state-licensed Hope Child Development Center (CDC) which provided full day, year round care for 66 children six weeks to 12 years old. In 2003, HFNH established the Counseling Center, which is a clinical and research practice dedicated to the assessment and care of patients who have mental, emotional, or behavioral conditions. The Center has a mission to reach out to underserved communities in providing treatment to those who might otherwise not have access to care in a private practice environment.
