The mission of Breast Cancer Network of Strength is to ensure, through information, empowerment and peer support, that no one faces breast cancer alone.

Description:
We are a breast cancer support organization that provides immediate emotional relief, strength and support to anyone affected by breast cancer.The Connecticut office is located in Branford and has a variety of programs for the person concerned about or diagnosed with breast cancer. All of our services are free including a 24/7 breast cancer support center that provides immediate emotional relief through a toll free hotline, e-mail, match programs as well as six breast cancer support groups around the state. We are not research, however are here today for those who cannot wait for tommorrow's cure.

History:
The Connecticut office of Breast Cancer Network of Strength was started 19 years ago in Branford, by a breast cancer survivor, to bring support and support programs to persons concerned about or diagnosed with breast cancer. It was modeled after the then Chicago headquarters of Y-ME, which was started 30 years ago.
