Description:
The Mary Wade Home consists of a licensed residential care unit with 45 beds and a skilled nursing center with 60 beds. There is also an on site adult day center serving approx 50-60 seniors from the greater New Haven Community....We have a community transportation program on the week ends serving senior citizens for shopping, medical appointments as an example of this service. We have a beautiful courtyard where are residents, their families, employees and volunteers can connect to every season by exploring the lovely walkway through the garden.

History:
the Mary Wade Home was originally founded in 1866 as a home for widows and orphans from the Civil War era.Today the home continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of the senior community. At present there are plans to add on the nursing unit and build another residential building mirroring the original Boardman bldg.
