Higher Standard Mentoring, Inc. is designed to strengthen the capacities of underprivileged youth and children through prevention and awareness. HSM brings five major institutions together:

It is HSM's aim to reach children who are at risk for violence and gang activity, substance abuse and poor performance in school.

Description:
Higher Standard Mentoring, Inc. is an organization which encourages youth and children ages 8-18 to acquire higher morals, educational, and manhoood/womanhood training.
We also connect children and youth with resources offered by other institutions and organizations, assist young boys and girls in "high-risk" family homes and we promote good etiquette within youth and children and expose them to cultural activities.

History:
Higher Standard Mentoring, Inc. was founded in 2003 by Reverend Donald R.A. Toussaint, Sr, the pastor of Zion First Baptist Church in Middletown, Connecticut.
