The New Haven Land Trust preserves openspace, maintains community gardens and promotes environmental education and stewardship.
Description:
We have seven preserves, comprising over sixty acres in all habitats of New Haven. We have fifty community gardens all around New Haven's neighborhoods. Our gardens provide the opportunity for New Haven's diverse population to grow food.
History:
Founded in 1982 we added our gardening program in 1991. Please see New Haven's green map for the location of our gardens and our preserves.
