Description:
Girl Scouts of Connecticut, Inc. is the largest voluntary organization for girls in the state of Connecticut. It is open to all girls ages 5-17 (or in Kindergarten through grade 12) regardless of race, color, ethnicity, creed, national origin, socio- economic status or disability who subscribe to its ideals as stated in the Girl Scout Promise and Law. The Program- In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship and power of girls together. Through a variety of enriching experiences, such as summer camp, field trips, sports clinics, community service projects and cultural exchanges, girls grow courageous and strong. Girl Scouting helps girls develop to their full potential; relate to others; develop values that provide the foundation for sound decision making; and contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills and cooperation with others.
