Meat the Need Program - Frozen Meat Sorter Income Neighbor to Neighbor

Volunteers are needed in our Meat the Need Program to mark, sort and re-package donated frozen meat products into boxes of like kind for distribution to member agencies where it will be re-distributed to, or used for feeding, individuals and families in need. Volunteers are needed every Thursday from 12:45-2:00 in the East Haven Warehouse.

A 4-6 month minimum commitment is requested (occasional days off are not an issue). Volunteers must have the ability to be on their feet for an hour or more, ability to bend, and to lift up to 35 pounds.

 Directions to CFB East Haven Warehouse: 150 Bradley Street East Haven, CT 06512-1407 (203) 469-5000 FAX: (203) 469-4871 1-95 North**: Exit 51 (Frontage Rd., East Haven) WARNING: HEAVY CONSTRUCTION. At first traffic light turn right onto Forbes Place (no road sign). Take an immediate left onto Kimberly Ave. At next light, turn left onto High St., stay in the left lane as you go over the bridge. At the light, turn left onto Laurel St. Proceed short distance down Laurel St. After you go under the 1-95 overpass, take the left onto Bradley St. CFB is the first building on the left. **FOR TRACTOR TRAILER TRUCKS COMING FROM I -95 North: Take Exit 50 - Go down 7 traffic lights, take a left onto High Street. At second traffic light, take a left onto Laurel St. Proceed a short distance on Laurel. Immediately after going under 1-95 overpass, take first left onto Bradley St. CFB is the first bldg on left. 1-95 South: Exit 52 (North High St.) At end of ramp, turn left onto North High St. Proceed to first traffic light, (DO NOT CROSS HIGHWAY BRIDGE) stay in right lane to bear right onto Laurel St. Proceed short distance on Laurel. After you go under the 1-95 overpass, take the first left onto Bradley St. CFB is the first building on the left. I-91 North: Exit 8 (Middletown Ave.) At end of ramp, turn right onto Middletown Ave. Proceed to the fourth traffic light (Burger King is on the left), turn right onto Eastern St. Follow Eastern St. approximately 3 miles (Eastern turns into Laurel St.). You will see an overpass as you approach Bradley St. Make a right onto Bradley St. before you come to the overpass.
