United Way of Greater New Haven

One day a week in the spring and summer we take 10 participants to the Wallingford Y for water therapy. Volunteers are needed to assist the participants walking to and from the pool and to be supportive to them in the pool. It is a fun event enjoyed by all. Volunteers are greatly needed to help ensure the safety of the participants.

Volunteers must be available on Wednesday mornings from about 9:30am to about 11:30 when lunch is served on location. Volunteers must be responsible individuals and safely attentive to limitations of participants.

When taking I-91 from New Haven, get off at Exit 13, Wallingford Industrial Area. At end of ramp take a right onto Route #5. At next traffic light turn right onto South Elm Street. Continue straight past 2 stop signs. YMCA is on the left side of the street.
