United Way of Greater New Haven

On July 10 we have our main fund raiser - a dinner auction. Help is needed on the afternoon before (Thurs.July 17)from 4pm to 6pm to move all the auction items (mostly baskets) to the banquet hall. We need workers and vans or trucks. Also we need anyone interested in helping with the auction to do gift gathering or help make baskets prior to the event. Gift gathering is an ongoing volunteer opportunity and anyone interested may contact the center any time of year.

Directions:

Go to exit 60 on the Merrit Parkway. Take a right. Drive to Benham St. about 2 blocks(Acropolis Diner is on the corner). Take a right onto Benham St. Go to just before the second traffic light. You will see a turn off on the right. Take that turn off (you will be on the grounds of Sacred Heart Academy). Take your second right off of the driveway. Follow the road until you see a big yellow brick building. Follow the signs and drive around the back of the building and go around the garage. You will see a banner attached to a green glass enclosure. This is the door to come in   Nearest Bus Stop: Benham and Dixwell, 15 min minute walk
