Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Our largest. most glamorous, most exciting, most memorable event is fast approaching- our annual Gala & Auction. Proceeds from this event help support or programs and services for children and adults with disabilities. But to make this event a success, we NEED YOUR HELP! The main focus of this event is our live and silent auction and good portion of our revenue comes from the auction. Because of state budget cuts and the economy in general, we need more help than ever this year. We are asking for volunteers to hit the pavement and solicit (ask nicely!) for items for our auction. The more people we have out there asking for donations, the better chance we have of being successful. Sometimes, it's all about who you know, connections you have, and friends who owe you! We would be absolutely THRILLED to have volunteers out in the community asking local businesses, friends, etc. to donate to our auction. Each time you get something donated, it's like a small personal victory and a very rewarding experience. We are looking for items (anything goes! There is a bidder for every item!), gift certificates, monetary donations, etc. We will supply you with all the materials needed get you going. Are you up for the challenge?!

Volunteers must be outgoing, personable, and not afraid to hear the word no! For every person who says no to donating, five people will say yes!
