We have opportunities for volunteers from grade school through retirement age in our lovely facility which is presently home to 105 seniors and also a 60 member adult day community center...Volunteers serve in supportive roles, assisting our employees in many capacities and enhancing the quality of life for our seniors. We offer orientation and supervision and welcome your feedback and suggestions to make our program more effective in meeting the needs of our seniors. Examples of volunteer oppotunities include but are not limited to assisting with crafts, table games, musical, spiritual and social activities. Volunteers have assisted with wheelchair transportation within our center. Reading to and assisting with letter writing. Leading small group current events, special topics or hobby groups. Some residents enjoy one to one visits from volunteers for reminscing, playing scrable, checkers, chess or cardgames. Some volunteers have come to work in our gardens, assist with clerical responsibilities and assist at large group or holiday functions.
