Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on October 28, 2009 |
Join our enthusiastic team of volunteers in our vital mission of providing personal assistance to small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs in New Haven and surrounding communities. We are looking to increase the level of our services. This means more counselors, more publicity, and more staff support. Our office is in Gateway College, at Long Wharf, with counseling locations at the Milford, Orange, Branford, Wallingford, Meriden and Cheshire Chambers of Commerce. Working with SCORE is a rewarding and exciting experience. You will be personally engaged in helping better our communities' well-being. We will orient and train you. Our parent organizations, SCORE and the Small Business Administration, provide excellent backup resources. The Gateway Business Library is top notch. And our chapter members lean on one another all the time for guidance and support. The number of hours you provide will be up to you. We all are part time. Go to our website, http://www.newhavenscore.com/ to learn more about us. Our volunteers come from a wide variety of business backgrounds, and we share our respective skills in assisting our clients. We look for people with up to date familiarity with business technology. Management experience is good. Business ownership is good. Computer skills goes without saying. You need to be at home one on one with others and able to be resourceful in solving problems. Call us at 203-865-7645 to talk with one of our staff and learn more.
