Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Artspace is looking for volunteers who may be interested in gallery staffing and gallery sitting. Our gallery has several contemporary art shows a year, with a wide range of themes and subjects. Gallery Sitters help with day to day tasks in the gallery, depending where we are in the exhibit cycle.

Gallery Sitters talk to visitors, are responsible for opening and closing of the gallery outside of office hours, help with exhibit preparing and staffing at openings, and various other office maintenance tasks. Artspace provides exciting volunteer opportunities, whether it be help with events, exhibition preparation, networking, talking about art to visitors, and helping with our operations.

All gallery sitters must complete a pre-screening interview. If approved, they will given an orientation to the position, the gallery and current exhibition(s). Volunteers are asked to be available 1 day per month. WE HAVE AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR A GALLERY SITTER ON WEDNESDAYS FROM 12-6PM or 2-6PM.
