The Freeport Historical Society encourages people to share and enjoy the history of Freeport, Maine. The Society actively preserves buildings, artifacts and archival materials of historic importance while encouraging similar restoration efforts in the community; develops research and educational programs which explore and interpret Freeport's history; and encourages related community activities which keep this history alive. By gaining an appreciation of Freeport's past, we can better understand the present and prepare for the future. Description:
