Medical Reserve Corps supports the medical response to a local disaster in one of several capacities: medication and vaccination distribution, medical sheltering, surge capacity, and epidemiological investigations.

Description:
Medical Reserve Corps is a volunteer effort under the Office of the Surgeon General. MRC volunteers may serve local, regional, statewide or national relief efforts. Volunteers may be medical professionals or support staff, and are trained by MRC in Incident Command to fit into other coordinated relief efforts.
