Community Harvest strives to help our neighbors through community meals, emergency assistance, and scholarship programs, providing services to those in our community who need it most.

Description:
Project Pilgrim

Project Pilgrim, which began in 1999, is an annual complimentary Thanksgiving dinner. Volunteer staff prepares and serves a festive dinner at St Martha’s Church in Kennebunk, delivers dinners to the homes of community members and recipients of Meals on Wheels and transports guests to the dinner. Many volunteers are needed for this extraordinary project.

Project Harvest

Project Harvest evaluates the needs in our community for food sharing, including a complimentary year round program called Harvest Café, which provides dinner on the 3rd Thursday of each month at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Kennebunk.
Another activity of Project Harvest is the annual Noel Dinner, which was first held on December 25, 2004. This is a complimentary Christmas dinner prepared and served by Community Harvest volunteers at St Martha’s Church in Kennebunk.
Project Community

Project Community is organized to unite community members with community concerns including the High School Scholarship Program (a scholarship awarded to the graduating Senior Class of Kennebunk High School), K-8 Activity Scholarship Program, and the Community Assistance Program, which is a financial assistance program for needs of families/individuals living in our communities to pay for emergency household costs. For applications to the Community Assistance Program, or for more information, please call Community Harvest at 967-1911.

History:
Community Harvest began in 1999 with a handful of people who had a desire to reach out to the people of our communities. We continue to grow as we research and find ways to meet the needs of our neighbors.
