Catholic Charities Maine is an organization of the Diocese of Portland that implements the social teachings of Jesus Christ as taught by the Catholic Church. We accomplish this through service, advocacy and convening.

Catholic Charities Maine has programs serving those in need, with special emphasis on Maine's most vulnerable populations - the poor, disabled elderly and children. Catholic Charities Maine is one of the largest, statewide, private nonprofit social service agencies in the state of Maine. We are committed to improving the quality of life for the individual, the family and the community. We serve and employ people of all faiths.

History:
Catholic Charities Maine began in 1966. It has grown to include over 40 programs, projects and services in 22 locations throughout the state of Maine.
