The mission of the Biddeford Free Clinic is to provide accessible and free outpatient general medical care to adults and children who have no medical insurance and cannot afford private medical care.



Description:
The Biddford Free Clinic provides FREE general medical care and non-narcotic medication for those without health insurance and who cannot afford it. Patients with insurance: private insurance, MaineCare (Medicaid, and Medicare are NOT ELIGIBLE for medical service at the Clinic. Healthy and Wellness Programs:
smoking cessation, nutrition, diet, exercise, diabetic care, and Osteopathetic Manipulative Therapy are available at the Clinic. Clinic hours: Monday and Thursday evenings, 6 - 9 PM. Patients are advised to register by 5 PM as the volunteer physician sees 12 patients per evening on a first come first serve basis.

History:
The Biddeford Free Clinic, the first free clinic established in Maine, has continuously provided medical care for the uninsured since 1993. To date, the Clinic has provided more than three million dollars of medical and pharmaceutical service to uninsured patients throughout Maine.
