Mission - Helping people to be as healthy and independent as possible at home and in the community.
Description:
HomeHealth-Visiting Nurses is a fully licensed and CHAP accredited not-for-profit home health organization. We provide care for patients in their homes covered by Medicare, Medicaid and other third-party payors. Financial assistant is available for those without insurance or resources. Our services are offered 24/7 throughout Cumberland and York counties. Volunteers are the heart and spirit of giving HomeHealth-Visiting Nurses. In our 3 "Books Revisited" stores (Biddeford, Sanford and Old Orchard Beach), dedicated volunteers sell donated books to support home health and hospice care. Others volunteer in the office and at our community clinics. To learn more about volunteer opportunities please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 207/284-4566.
History:
For over a century, we have been in the homes with people in Southern Maine. In March 2003 Visiting Nurses of Southern Maine in Saco and Community Health Services in Portland merged together to meet the home health care needs of Southern Maine.
