Swing for Hope and Hospice Golf Tournament
Last updated on August 6, 2008
Logo

Swing for Hope and Hospice Golf Tournament is held at Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro annually the first Monday of August. Proceeds benefit Hope's Place, our program for grieving children and teens. This program is for any family in Central Maine, with children age 3-18yrs, who has sustained death of a significant person whether from terminal illness, accident, suicide or sudden and unexpected death such as heart attack or stroke. This program is free. Hope's Place staff and volunteers also respond to crises or personal tragedies that affect children and teens in the community. Through outreach and education support is provided as required / requested either short or longer term. Again, this is a service provided at no charge and available to schools, businesses, civic or social service organizations, and residents of 27 communities in Central Maine thanks in part to those who support our Swing for Hope and Hospice Golf Tournament!

Planning for this event takes place throughout the year. Committee members could use assistance with securing tournament prizes; circulating posters and registration forms; helping to spread the word among golfers. On the day of the event volunteers are needed to help on the registration table, putting for green, set-up and tear-down.
