Director of First Impressions Administrative/Secretarial

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on November 20, 2009

The Center for Grieving Children's mission is to provide loving support to grieving children, teens, families and the community through peer support, outreach, and education. We honor and encourage the safe expression of grief and loss while providing a loving community to foster the discovery and development of each child's own resiliency and emotional well-being.

For many families, making that first call for help can be the hardest. The Director of First Impressions plays a key role in helping to put the families at ease. We are currently looking for someone to help in our office to answer the main phone line and appropriately direct calls to staff; greets guests with a smile and answers questions about The Center’s programs. You will also assist with data entry, preparations for fundraising events, and other office duties as assigned. You will be the face and voice of our organization.

Qualifications: Basic knowledge of computers and data entry helpful but not required, a friendly outgoing demeanor, good sense of humor, professional attitude, problem-solving abilities, confidentiality, and dependability.
Support: Training for this position will be provided. In addition, the Administrative Assistant and Development Assistant will be available for questions and help.
Hours: Willing to work with your schedule.
Benefits: Contributing to The Center for Grieving Children’s mission, free training in computer skills & data entry, fundraising experience, looks GREAT on a resume, free parking.
