Daffodil Days Brings Hope to Cancer Patients and Families Support and Companionship Administrative/Secretarial

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on January 27, 2009

Daffodil Days raises funds while bringing millions of bright yellow flowers to the area for the first week of spring. Funds raised support local services and programs for cancer patients and their families. The daffodils are grown in the state of Washington, shipped to us, and purchased by hundreds of individuals, businesses, schools, religious organizations, government offices, restaurants, hotels, clubs, and shopping malls. In the state of Maine this year, more than $300,000 is expected to be raised by this event to help eradicate cancer. Daffodils are scheduled to arrive the week of March 16.

Volunteers help coordinate daffodil sales, sort and deliver daffodils and assist with overall event promotion. If you are interested in volunteering, please call Crystal Derocher at 373-3719.
