Halloween is right around the corner. Time to start thinking what to do with all of that leftover candy. Here are a few creative ideas: 1. Use the leftover candy to bake cakes, cookies, etc., just chop up and add like you would chocolate chips. You could even donate the baked goods. (If you don't have time to do all that, you could freeze the candy for later when you do have time.) 2. Donate to a local food pantry school or other local non-profit. 3. Here's an idea for making an advent calendar with leftovers: http://www.alphamom.com/holiday/2008/10/repurposing_your_leftover_halloween_candy_.php 4. Use the candy to decorate a holiday gingerbread house. 5. Mix the candy into ice cream and serve to a local shelter. 6. Make a piñata for a local children's party and stuff it with the leftover candy. 7. Use it for a scavenger hunt. Who knew you could do so much by getting creative!? |
