History:
1979 - Dorchester Bay Area House was formed with a group of locally concerned community residents all expressing the need for a better way to care for the sick.
1986 - Under new leadership Medicare and Medicaid certification obtained.
1987 - Name officially changed to Hospice to reflect the service to patients throughout the Boston area.
1993 - Affiliation with Brockton Visiting Nurses offering a full continuum of care and establishing a broad base of care
