Catholic Charities South
"Catholic Charities is building a just and compassionate society rooted in the dignity of all people."
Description:
Catholic Charities South is one of seven community service centers within the Archdiocese of Boston. Catholic Charities South serves over 25,000 individuals from Brockton and 25 surrounding communities. Our community service center has programs to assist young parents and has a parent support program. The behavior health program offers a full range of services for mental health and addiction issues. We provide support and services to new immigrants, including job training. Our Initial Response Services assist people with emergency services, and our food pantry is open daily.
History:
Catholic Charities South has been serving the Greater Brockton area for over 80 years. We are a private non-profit agency dedicated to promoting the social well-being and mental health of families, children and individuals. During its long history, the agency has always provided assistance to the poor and hungry and has modified the programs to serve the diverse needs of the community. In recent years, this includes adding services to serve the needs of the large immigrant population, the working poor, and individuals with long histories of substance abuse.
