Monroe County Office of Traffic Safety

The Office of Traffic Safety is part of Monroe County's Department of Public Safety. We are a fully grant funded program. Our grant comes from the New York State Governor's Traffic Safety Committee. Our focus is on traffic related injury prevention.

Description:
The Office of Traffic Safety provides free educational services to all Monroe County Schools at their request. Programs are in the areas of Pedestrian Safety, Bicycle Safety, and Motor Vehicle Safety. We provide programs for Drivers's Education classes as well as training for parents in child seat installation. We conduct bicycle rodeos during the summer months. We sponsor a coloring/writing contest in the spring in conjunction with Rochester General Hospital.
