History:
AIDS Rochester, Inc. was founded in 1983 as a grassroots organization serving just a few people from an office located over a bar. Since that time, we have developed into a professionally run agency serving over 1,000 clients a year. We now have four locations within our eight county region.

We have supported thousands of people experiencing a life and death struggle. We have prevented countless numbers of people of all ages from becoming infected
with HIV. We have also increased knowledge, raised awareness, embraced diversity, fought discrimination, battled hate, and kept fear at bay.

Throughout our history, the key to our continuing survival and effectiveness has been our ability to quickly adapt services to rapidly changing needs.

Directions to AIDS Rochester From the West: Proceed down 490 heading East Pass through Downtown Rochester (staying on 490) Continue until you reach Culver Road Exit Exit Culver Road and turn Left Proceed down Culver Road (you will cross over Park Ave. and East Ave.) At University Avenue, turn right (Mobil on the right corner) At the next traffic light, the road forks, we are on your left at the intersection #1350 and the letters ARI are on our door From the East: Proceed down 490 heading West Just past the exit for 590, is the University/Winton Exit Exit University/Winton and proceed forward (you are on University) Proceed through 1st light (Winton Road) You will pass a Volvo Automobile Dealership on right At the next traffic light, AIDS Rochester is directly ahead We are in a low brick building with ARI and 1350 in white letters on front From the South Take 390 North to 590 North to 490 West (Downtown Rochester) Proceed on 490 West and get into the far right lane Exit Culver Road Turn right on Culver Road Proceed down Culver Road (you will cross over Park Ave. and East Ave.) At University Avenue, turn right (Mobil on the right corner) At the next traffic light, the road forks, we are on your left at the intersection #1350 and the letters ARI are on our door   Nearest Bus Stop: #18/19, less than 1 minute walk
