Four-Legged Friends' mission is to enrich the lives of displaced animals, primarily cats and kittens. Our main goal is to reduce the cat overpopulation through spaying and neutering. Toward that end, we participate in TNVR (trap-neuter-vaccinate-return). In the process of trapping, friendly strays and kittens are brought in to the shelter when possible.

Description:
Our primary focus is on curbing the cat overpopulation problem. We believe in educating the public on the importance of responsible cat ownership, and empowering those who seek help with stray or feral cats. We aim to provide the community with the knowledge and tools needed to become proactive in the fight against cat overpopulation. To that end, we rescue cats in need and provide them with veterinary care, food, shelter, and love. We operate a shelter and also rely on excellent foster families to care for our animals until a permanent home is found. We do not euthanize cats to "make room" for other cats.
All of our adoptable animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

History:
Four-Legged Friends Animal Adoptions started when our first volunteers, who already had training in animal care, began responding to requests to assist with abandoned, stray or feral cats. We created a dedicated network for foster care and arranged for cat adoptions to loving families. In 2006, we were incorporated as a 501(c)(3) public charity, and expanded our foster home and volunteer base. In January 2009, we moved into our new shelter which provides a home for rescued cats, and where the public can meet our adoptable animals. We are staffed entirely by volunteers and receive our support through donations and adoption fees.
