The Resource Center is a program of the Veterans Outreach Center, Inc. The Veterans Outreach Center is an independent not-for-profit center; it is not a government agency. Support revenue comes from individual and corporate contributions; grants; city, county, state, and federal funds; special events; and the United Way Donor Choice Program.
Since opening our doors in 1973, the Veterans Outreach Center has served over 28,000 local veterans and their family members. Over the years, we have added more programs and services to better accommodate the growing needs of veterans. From outreach to housing, from education and training to employment assistance, we remain committed to improving the quality of life for veterans and their family members.

History:
In 1973, the Veterans Outreach Center opened its doors to help returning Vietnam veterans and their family members. Thirty years later, the nation's oldest community-based not-for-profit veterans outreach organization is still here, providing all veterans - especially the disabled, disadvantaged and homeless- with the programs and services they so richly deserve!
