The Friendly Home, one of the most trusted providers of nursing care and rehabilitative services, is a non-denominational, not-for-profit organization. We combine a progressive approach to health care with a traditional sense of compassion. Our experienced and dedicated staff takes pride in knowing our Members as individuals. We provide care and services that promote dignity, individuality and the highest possible level of independence. Our goal is to maximize the quality of life for Members on all levels-physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual.

History:
In 1849, a group of benevolent women formed a shelter for homeless females. This charitable organization became known as the "Rochester Society for the Relief of Homeless and Friendless Females." Although we have shortened the name, the sentiments and philosophy that first inspired the Society remain constant. From our inception, our commitment has always been to enhance the quality of life of those we serve.
