Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The Susan B. Anthony House, in collaboration with the Girl Scouts of Western New York (formerly Genesee Valley) offers educational and inspirational programs for Girl Scouts of all ages. The program for Cadette Girl Scouts (grades 6, 7, and 8) helps girls explore different community issues meaningful in their lives today and brainstorm effective plans for solutions. Facilitators lead the Girl Scouts on a tour of the Anthony House to inspire participants with Miss Anthony's life, work, and example, followed by interactive activities that help them explore issues and strategies. This supports the girls in their pursuit of the Silver Award.

All training is provided. Facilitators should be comfortable working with girls in grades 6, 7, and 8 and helping them find inspiration in the life and work of Susan B. Anthony
