The School 34/Grace Urban Ministries (GUM) Partnership Program pairs volunteer tutors with at-risk students attending School 34. School 34 is an elementary school located in GUM's service area. GUM is looking for volunteers who are interested in participating in this rewarding program, which targets students working below grade level.  Working one-to-one with students, tutors help kids in K-6 grade improve their academic performance. Tutors are asked to give at least 6 hours a month. Tutorial sessions take place during school hours on site at School 34. Tutors can arrange with teachers what time during the day/week works best for them.

In addition to helping students improve academically, the tutors become mentors to the students they work with. If you are interested in helping children to grow and to be successful academically, please consider GUM's School 34/GUM Partnership Program. For more information call 458-1310.
