Description:
The High Hopes Foundation of N.H., Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to granting wishes and dreams to the children of N.H., who have serious or life-threatening illnesses. These children are 3 through 18 years of age. The Foundation has granted trips to Disney, Disney Cruises, shopping sprees, computers, pets, trips to meet a favorite celebrity, wheelchair accessible vans, and many more. If you love to make kids happy and enjoy working with a group of energetic volunteers, we are looking for people like you to help us bring joy and happiness to these children.
History:
The High Hopes Foundation was founded in 1983 by Jacque Yinger as a thanks to the people of New Hampshire who helped her family out when their own daughter was stricken with cancer. At that time, there were no organizations that granted wishes to seriously ill children. After Jacque saw the impact that the trip to Disney made on her child, she started the High Hopes Foundation to ensure that every seriously ill child in New Hampshire would have the opportunity to have their most treasured dream become a reality. To date, High Hopes has granted almost 600 wishes. High Hopes depends on the residents, businesses, civic organizations and other nonprofit organizations to support its cause through financial donations and its volunteering opportunities. Wouldn't you like to donate a little of your time to make a child smile?
