The Children's Museum of New Hampshire
The Children's Museum of New Hampshire operates exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes and serves as an educational resource for schools, families, and community groups. The museum strives to support the diverse population of the region, improve understanding and skills in meeting the needs of children, and supplement the services of regional schools and social service agencies.

Help children and their families learn and grow by: Aiding children in the Project Area with art and science projects Showing visitors how to get the most out of our exhibits Providing admissions and museum shop sales support Participating in special events Assisting with off-site events and outreach programs Providing office support Assisting with general maintenance and gardening The museum is also always on the lookout for volunteers to share a special hobby or craft. Are you a puppeteer, storyteller or musician? Give us a call at (603) 742-2002. We'd love to hear from you. Typical museum shifts are from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 1-5 p.m. Most office shifts are from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. We request a minimum commitment of four hours per month. History:
The Children's Museum of Portsmouth was founded in 1983 and was located in historic South end of Portsmouth. The museum had been serving the needs of children and families for almost twenty four years. In 2008 The Children's Museum of Portsmouth will transform into The Children's Museum of New Hampshire in Dover. The museum will be triple the space and more art and science activities will be happening and relies heavily on its volunteers!
