The mission of The Homemakers Health Services is to provide safe, comprehensive, reliable and professional home health care, home support and adult medical day care services to those adults of Strafford County who need them in order to maintain independence and quality of life in the home; and to prevent, if possible, unnecessary hospitalization or nursing home placement.

Description:
Whether your loved one needs nursing services, help with meal preparation, light housekeeping or companionship, The Homemakers of Strafford County can help you set up a plan of care. Home health care services include: nursing, telemonitoring, infusion therapy, rehabilitative therapies, case management, medical social work, home health aide, personal care aide, homemaker and in-home care provider.The Homemakers also provides the only adult day care program in Strafford County - the Day Out program. Community Wellness programs include a Strong Living Weight Training program, Aerobics of the Mind, Alzheimer's Education and Support Groups, Working Caregiver Solutions, and TOPS - a weight loss and exercise program.

History:
Established in 1974, the goal of The Homemakers is to provide health care services to adults with both acute and chronic conditions to help them remain independent and in their own homes.
