Description:
AGCHC's Board Certified Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants provide a full range of Primary Care Health services from pre-natal through geriatric for the men, women, and children of Strafford County and surrounding areas. AGCHC also provides the following support services: Medication Assistance Programs, Medicaid Enrollment Assistance, Women,Infants and Children (WIC), Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), Health Education Services, Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening, and Best Practices Diabetes and Asthma Education and Management.
A wide range of Dental services is provided by our staff dentist, dental assistant and hygienist.
History:
The agency began as a Prenatal and Family Planning service in Dover in 1969 and has been providing services in Strafford County since it's incorporation in 1971. In 1995 AGCHC became a full service primary health center providing a continuum of care from prenatal through geriatric with a multi-disciplinary approach. Dental Services were added in 2004. Mental Health Services were added in 2005. OB and Midwife services in 2006.
