Description:
New Hampshire Public Television is part of the PBS network of television stations, licensed through the University System of New Hampshire. Its programs reach approximately 500,000 households each week, throughout New Hampshire and Northern New England. Beyond its award-winning local and national television programs, NHPTV is a leader in education and community outreach.
History:
New Hampshire Public Television was established in 1959 and remains the state’s only PBS station. The 10+ acres of land that the Broadcast Center is built on in Durham, New Hampshire, were given to NHPTV by the Trustees of the University of New Hampshire.
