The mission and purpose of CSCNH is to assist individuals, groups and the community by planning, monitoring and coordinating available resources, and by direct services to meet the needs of the people living in the State of New Hampshire.

Description:
CSCNH provides a wide variety of services to adults with developmental disabilities as well as a 24-hour, 7-day per week information and referral line (NH HelpLine). In addition, we offer the following programs:
Health Insurance Counseling Education and Assistance Services (HICEAS) - Provides free, confidential health insurance information and counseling, and deals with Medicaid, Medicare, Medigap and Long Term insurance issues. With over 180 trained volunteer counselors throughout the state, the HICEAS program is committed to protecting the quality of health care for New Hampshire seniors.

Protecting Quality Health Care (PQHC) - This program works in partnership with NHHL and HICEAS to bring you quality information on health care fraud and abuse. The program is designed to stop fraud and abuse while advising seniors on how to protect their benefits. Examples of fraud and abuse might include billing for services or equipment not received or overcharging for services or equipment.

History:
CSCNH was formed in the 1970's in an effort to provide services for the developmentally disabled population that were removed from the Laconia State School and mainstreamed into the community. Since that time we have added additional services such as alcohol and drug intervention, NH HelpLine, residential services, vocational day services, job skills training, individual day programs and the services listed above. This compliment of services has evolved into a highly respected non-profit human services agency.
