The Rochester Child Care Center provides quality, comprehensive childcare and early education programs for children ages 12 months to 12 years. The agency strives to provide a range of services that support working parents while fostering the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual growth of their children. Special consideration and effort is given to low-income families and to families going through crisis.
Description:
Rochester Child Care Center is a FUN & VIBRANT, private nonprofit agency licensed by the State of New Hampshire and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The main center on Charles Street provides early education and care for children 12 months to 6 years and includes a kindergarten program. There are 5 toddler rooms, 4 preschool classrooms, and 1 kindergarten classroom. We also have six satellite school age sites. Five in Rochester elementary schools and one in the Barrington elementary school. We have the smartest, cutest children in all of the greater Rochester area!
History:
The agency opened in 1976 offering part time care for 35 preschoolers. We have grown to offer services to approximately 350 children on a daily basis, mostly with full time schedules. In 1989 the school age programs expanded from the Charles street site to the elementary schools in Rochester and Barrington. Recently, Rochester implemented public kindergarten, which resulted in the agency offering one kindergarten classroom and expanding the toddler program into the two remaining "k" rooms.
