Our administrative organization in the US is small, while all of our program staff are native to Niger. There are hundreds of Nigeriennes who volunteer or work in our programs to some degree. Much of our accounting work is the tracking of program expenditures in Niger. RAIN has in house bookkeeping ability, utilizing Quickbooks. A consultant visits monthly to review data and reports, and answer our questions. We seek a Treasurer who understands financial reports, audit requirements, and nonprofit accounting and accountability norms to advise the Board. Experience in nonprofit planning and accounting are required. Day, time, place of board meetings:: Normally, Wednesday evenings, every other month.
