Position title: BreastCancerStories.com Board Members
Description: One out of every seven women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Help us to help them share their challenges and achievements with their loved ones and with one another.

BreastCancerStories.com (soon to be .org) is seeking 2-3 dynamic individuals to serve on our Board of Directors.

BreastCancerStories.com is a free online networking community where breast cancer patients can stay in touch with friends and family as they go through their treatments, and where they can find other breast cancer patients going through a similar experience.

BreastCancerStories.com launched in June of 2006 and already has over 200 story writers with upwards of 10,000 people reading those stories every month. The website is currently being redeveloped so it will be far more intuitive – this new site will launch in early December.

ABOUT the BOARD POSITIONS

We are in search of 2-3 dynamic Board Members who would be willing to donate a small amount of their time to our efforts.

The Board meets twice annually in the Seacoast area and takes care of additional business via email. BreastCancerStories.com puts on two fundraising events each year and our Board members are involved in the planning and execution of those events.

We are looking for individuals with: a passion for helping people who are going through breast cancer to better cope; the ability to brainstorm, troubleshoot and support the efforts of the Executive Director; connections within the Seacoast area and beyond who may be willing to help our cause; the ability to fundraise; a strong desire to contribute to the success of the organization.
