Last updated on October 23, 2009

Rockingham Community Action has been actively involved for the past 4 years with free tax preparation sites that focus on securing Earned Income Tax Credit dollars for income eligible tax payers. Volunteers for the free tax preparation site are needed to provide tax services at our host site, Northeast Credit Union on Borthwick Avenue in Portsmouth, from February through April in on a rotating basis. IRS trainers will guide the volunteers through the tax preparation process using online tools provided directly by the IRS. There will be two informational sessions offered at United Way for individuals interested in finding out more about this exciting volunteer opportunity.

There are also opportunities available for those who would like to act as Greeters and provide a welcome to those taxpayers coming into the site, making sure that all of their paperwork is in order and to answer any questions.
