Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The Pines is a warm, caring home for 12-14 very interesting seniors, each with his/her own stories to share. We are looking for people to play cards, play games, tell stories, play the piano, sing, go for walks, or just plain visit. Looking forward to a visit makes all the difference, especially since some of our residents do not have family in the area. These visits are a win-win, since you will receive as much as you give. Please join us; their smiles and appreciation are a great reward.

It is necessary that you don't have any criminal record of abuse, assault, neglect, or exploitation of any person.

Directions:

From the Portsmouth traffic circle, take the exit to Route 1 South. At the third light, get into the far left lane. There's a Portsmouth Dodge Dealership on the right side of the road. At the top of the hill, there's a stop sign. Take a left. At the first set of lights, turn right. At the second blinking light, turn Right into the driveway. You'll see a brick sign saying "Edgewood Centre." The Pines is on the right, there is a horseshoe shaped driveway, at the top of the hill.   Nearest Bus Stop: Trolly South Street, 15 minute walk
