Mentors needed for adolescent girls
Powered by Truist

Last updated on August 21, 2008

Be a mentor to an adolescent girl, aged 12-18, who would benefit from a meaningful connection with a positive adult. We are asking mentors to spend at least two hours weekly with the girl in order to establish a relationship and develop trust. Playing games/cards or working on a project at the group home is often an easy and comfortable way to initiate a relationship. As comfort develops, mentors are encouraged to spend time with girls in the community, pursuing interests the girl and mentor may have in common.

Initial two hour orientation and training is provided by our Education Coordinator, Jen Gould. Once mentoring relationships are established, mentors maintain ongoing contact with individual girl's case managers at group home.
