The New Hampshire Farm Museum in Milton seeks volunteer interns for Spring, Summer or Fall semesters to assist with a variety of museum tasks. Interns will gain experience in museum and farm-based education as they learn to lead tours of the historic house and barn, interpret the historic farm landscape, learn about organic growing methods and farming in our garden, teach school children and the general public about historic breeds of farm animals, and assist with school and family programs. This is the ideal internship for someone interested in pursuing a career in museums, educational farms, agricultural education, or public history. Schedule is flexible according to school internship requirements but a typical semester long or summer internship requires a minimum of 50 hours to a maximum of 200 hours depending on college requirements. Schedule is flexible.

Internships are offered to those enrolled in a course of study at a college or graduate school or those who have completed college and are seeking experience in the field. A complete training is provided to those who participate. Interns must have a love of history, people and farms and be 18 years of age or older.
