This award has been established by the United Way of the Greater Seacoast Board of Directors to honor an outstanding Board or Staff member of a United Way of the Greater Seacoast Volunteer Action Center partner agency. The Eldridge Award is meant to recognize and encourage those strengths and qualities in others that made Mr. Eldridge a strong and effective leader at Lamprey Health Care and other local non-profit agencies.
This award is traditionally presented in September at the United Way of the Greater Seacoast Campaign Kick-off and Day of Caring breakfast.
To qualify as a nominee:
A candidate must be an active member of a United Way of the Greater Seacoast VAC Partner agency Board of Directors or on staff, within the UWGS service area.
The nominee's involvement must exemplify the qualities of dedication, commitment and caring so evident in Mr. Eldridge's own long and dedicated community service.
2. THE RICHARD S. LOCKHART MEMORIAL AWARD
This award was established by the United Way of the Greater Seacoast to recognize individuals who, like the late
Richard Lockhart, have made extraordinary contributions to improve the quality of life in our area. It may be
awarded to any area resident, regardless of affiliation, with formally organized human service groups.
This award is traditionally presented in January, at the United Way of the Greater Seacoast "Thank You" event,
closing that year's community campaign.
To qualify as a nominee:
A candidate must be an individual who has made outstanding human service contributions in Rockingham or Strafford Counties, or Kittery or Eliot, Maine.
The individual's actions and activities have demonstrated a desire to benefit the community without
concern for gain and recognition.
The individual's contributions to society may be personal and/or financial in nature.
3. THE SPIRIT OF THE SEACOAST VOLUNTEER AWARD
United Way of the Greater Seacoast and Federal Savings Bank are proud to recognize volunteers who make a difference in our community. This award is presented four times per year, in September, December, March, and June. All honorees will be recognized at a reception during National Volunteer Week in April.
To qualify as a nominee:
A candidate must be living or volunteering in Rockingham or Strafford counties NH or Eliot/Kittery, ME (within the United Way of the Greater Seacoast service area).
