| You can create personal profiles to receive email updates when a new opportunitiy matching your interests is registered on this site!
Tips:
Unfortunately, the system does not instruct the user that "simpler is better." When creating a profile, DO NOT check multiple interests, or the system will search for ONE opportunity that meets ALL of your criteria at once! The system will only work if you create a variety of profiles; one for each interest. For example, if you'd like to learn about new opportunities to work with the elderly, you might choose "elderly" plus your desired zip area and your availability. Then you might create a second profile, indicating your interest in "hunger" related issues. To use the system to search for one-time group opportunities, just answer questions #5 and #6. When you return to the site, just click on "Profile Manager" to search yourself, edit your profile or change/remove your email choices. Note also, that newly posted opportunities will always appear on the bottom right side of the search page.
